13th Black Bass World Championship -  Vanderbijlpark, South Africa

The 2017 Black Bass World Championship hosted by FIPS Ed and SABAA will be on   

The Vaal River is in the Gauteng Province of South Africa and is situated approximately 1 hr from Johannesburg.   The tournament will be held from the Emerald Casino Resort which is situated in the middle of the fishable tournament area. This area starts at the causeway at the power station below the wall of the Vaal dam and all the way down to the Barrage, some 40 km downstream. Feeder rivers in this stretch are the Suikerbosrand, Klip, Taaibosspruit and Leeuspruit, all flowing in from the Gauteng side.   

Pan American Bass Championship - Florida, USA

The Pan American Sportfishing Confederation and United States Angling Confederation (U.S. Angling) will produce the first ever Pan American Black Bass Championships for Pairs (Duos). This championship will be held at the legendary Roland & Mary Ann Martins Marina & Resort on Lake Okeechobee in Clewiston, Florida. All Pan American countries are invited to have from one to eight pairs (teams of two) participate. This event will be the starting point for the newly formed Pan American Sportfishing Confederation, and will be an exciting challenge for all the anglers from the Americas.

14th Black Bass World Championship - China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The event is going to take place in Mexico this year, specifically in the famous Cuchillo Lake, where the trophy sizes Black Bass lives. Suffice it to say that it possesses the FIPSed World Championships Record 

(6.060 kg.)  Athletes of each participating Nation, joined here together with managers, coaches and juries, will taste and appreciate the world famous Mexican hospitality and our excellent gastronomy selections.

El Cuchillo, pronounced: Coo-Chee-Yoh, is part of the El Cuchillo State Park. The lake is appx. 18,000 to 23,000 acres at normal pool. The lake is being managed by the government as CATCH & RELEASE, with no commercial fishing or netting allowed. There is an on-site hatchery with an intense restocking program.   

15th Black Bass World Championship -  Vanderbijlpark, South Africa 

The South African Sport Anglers and Casting Confederation will act as the host for the 4th Sport Fishing World Games in South Africa after the hosting confirmation by CIPS (International Confederation of Fishing Federations). Over the history of the Sport Fishing World Games it has always been a very important activity on the CIPS calendar. The fishermen always enjoy the games very much because of all the different World Championships which takes place simultaneously in one country. For the South Africa fishing community, these games will be the most important fishing activity in the history of the country. The fishermen from South Africa cannot wait to welcome all the fishermen and treat them with South African hospitality.

The Black Bass competition will take place Vaal River, Emerald Resort & Casino, Vanderbijlpark.  The competition venue will be the Vaal River. The competition venue is approximately 50Km long and is bordered by natural vegetation.  Depth ranges from 1meters to 7 meters.  The common fish species in the Vaal River are Large Mouth Black Bass and other species like carp, sharp tooth catfish, mudfish, yellowfish and bream (tilapia).

2019 Pan Am Bass Kayak Championship

USA Bass and Eric Jackson team captain will host the first Pan Am Bass Kayak Championship.  Team will be invited to compete for team and individual medals.  Kayaks will be provided by Jackson Kayak and the waters will be conducive to kayak bass fishing.
