The 2019 championship was successful and all team members fished to the best of their abilities. The boats and skippers were top notch and the host organization, SABAA, provided excellent food and lodging. The weather was challenging with daily storms, lightning, and water that was off color and filled with debris. The team battled not only the other nations, but also rain, jet lag, and sickness. Each team member shared, evaluated, strategized, and found value in each other. The group became a team through hardship and difficulties. We did not see the podium, however the team was not disappointed, they left full of pride knowing they did their best as one. The team may not have won a medal, but won the respect of each other by coming together through fortitude and effort. Well done gentlemen! USA Bass placed 9th in the world and looks forward to the next bass world championship.
